Interim CTO / full-time, for a fixed period
Interim CTO:
full-time, for a
fixed term.
When the CTO seat is empty or a critical phase needs full attention, part-time advice is not enough. As interim CTO I join full-time for an agreed period, lead the technology team and keep product and releases moving until a permanent solution is in place.
Discuss your situation
When it fits
- Your CTO or head of development has left and the role must not stay empty.
- A product launch, a migration or a rescue project needs full-time technical leadership.
- The team has grown faster than its structure and needs roles, processes and standards.
- Investors or the board want a stable technical lead through a transition.
What I take over
-
Leadership of the technology team
Run the team, set priorities and be the technical counterpart for management, board and investors.
-
Stable delivery
Bring releases, deployments, monitoring and incident handling into a reliable rhythm.
-
Rescue or refocus projects
Find out where a project really stands, cut scope where needed and get it to a usable release.
-
Building the team
Define roles, hire where needed and support the search for a permanent CTO.
-
Structured handover
Document architecture, decisions and open risks, and hand over to your permanent CTO or team.

Questions about the interim CTO role
How quickly can you start?
That depends on my current commitments. Get in touch early; in our first conversation I will tell you the earliest possible start.
What happens at the end of the engagement?
A structured handover: architecture, decisions, open risks and running processes are documented, and I introduce your permanent CTO or team lead to all of it.
Can an interim engagement continue part-time?
Yes. Once the critical phase is over, the engagement can continue as a fractional CTO role with a few days per month.
